Well, i can read in French but its a little harder for me than English.
I think that the comunication around this site for notes and foruns and all other things that are written for everybody to watch should be in English, unless you can write the language of the person who posted the foto and use it for a comment or a crittique.
The reasons i think this is because English is the easier language to learn from the most spoken ones and if we really want to comunicate we should put some effort to it.
I also dislike every other language for a world comunication because they just don΄t work so good.
What happens for me its that i just ignore most of the other languages written here besides English and of course Portuguese.

Porque eu tambιm posso ser teimoso e tentar que todos agora vγo aprender Portuguκs para me perceber!*

* Because i can also be stuborn and try that everibody go and learn Portuguese to understand me!

LOL Loοc! (pardon, MDR)

Achim, let's have a closer look to the 8 non-english thread that appear in the first 20 ones...

What are those thread dealing with?

- a camera on sale in Paris, France.
- a guy asking how to delete a pict
- a link to a french photo magazine who publish a photo of a french-speaking TE member (and this thread also got an english part)
- a thread in portuguese, translation of the same thread in english
- a guy asking a question about the maximum size and weight to upload a file
- a congratulation message for two french-speaking members who had a photo wining french contest
- a thread about a little city near Paris...

OK, as you can see nothing special and nothing -to me- that really need an english translation. Don't you agree?

Being a realist the French rule here on TE, I don't post images here anymore,I say let them have it. there are many other photo sites around that are english only. Why bother here, the French are well known around the world for their arrogance, let them have TE, I don't loose any sleep over it myself, just accept reality.

Brilliant, Ian. Simply brilliant.

Judging 60.000.000 people in just one sentence like you do show how clever you are. Let see... If I think the way you do, does it mean that all australians are as clever as you are? Of course, no, I know several intelligent aussies... So there must be something wrong somewhere in your brilliant thinking...

Au revoir, mon cher ami!

Loic, your're really right.
I want to share my thought about this forum, a communinity I really like. I'm a little bit sad when joining the forum and I see that I could not read / understand / smile / laugh / participiate /shaking my head, ... and I like the many different thougths people have which help me to understand a bit little more the world.
