I tried some different levels of contrast, yes. I decided the scene needs to have a mellow feel, not an overly dramatic one, so I kept the contrast moderate and natural, as best I could. You can see Animesh's workshop for a high-contrast version. Thanks for the comment! Regards, Ken.

Animesh's workshop creates a black line in the back just before the mountains, cutting therefore the perspective. The dramatic effect for the water in the front is very interesting however. Regards, c.
