Excellent work Daniel. The light is wonderful and the exposure nice and even. The detail too is well defined. Classy frame. I'm not a great lover of the starburst filter - but is this case it is not too overpowering.
Best regards, Roberto

.. thanks for your comments.
Just to clarify - I did not use a starbust filter.. never used one and do not have one :-) The starlight effect usually apppears when you use relatively smaller apertures. The intensity or appearance will depend on the particular machine, lens and/or exposure settings/preferences. I presently use mainly, a Sony R1 and sometimes a Sony F828. I've noticed in both instances that as from something like F/5 and smaller, the starbust effect can be seen - and more so as the aperture gets smaller. Because I ALWAYS use a tripod when shooting night scenes, I am able to select relatively smaller apertures (for relatively longer exposures) - as I did here. This gives the starlight effect. If/when I do not want the effect then I open up to aperture to something like F/4.5 or larger. :-) |

Thanks for the info - it's still a very nice shot either way. I guess you managed to find a safe spot on a traffic island, good thinking. All the best, Roberto
