Outstanding photo Piotr! Excellent technique yielding fantastic colors and sharpness, and good timing and composition. I would like to know a little more about the way this photo was taken - the brand of camera you used, shutter speed, filters and rest...

The camera I used for this shot was Olympus C-4000.
As far as I remeber there was circular polariser filter on the lens, and of course I was using a tripod. I can not tell you now the exact exposure and f-stop values, but I will check the exif data when I'll be back from work and write you about it later this day. I suppose the exposure was about few seconds. I was experimenting a lot with exposures this night and this shot was one of the most satisfying, yet there are more to show, but I don't know if the TrekEarth guidelines allow me to post the photos of the fireworks alone without any trace where they were taken? |

Thanks! I'm you've got very good performance from the Olympus there - I have a Camedia 720 and I know how hard it is to make night shots with it.
I think you are allowed to post just fireworks shots here (I've seen more than few, see for instance http://www.trekearth.com/themes.php?thid=763, but I think the better shots include some structures. |
