I use a Minolta Scan Dual III. I've had it for about four years now, and it's always given me good service. Sadly, Minolta no longer exist, but you may be able to pick one up quite cheaply second hand. The Konica Minolta 5400, which had a higher resolution, also got excellent reviews.
If you want to buy new, the Nikon Coolscan V has a good reputation, and is the best of the bunch at the lower end of the market. Cheers, Ben |

I use Konica Minolta 5400 (almost all my pictures I posted here are scanned with this equipment) but due to the fact that Minolta closed this branch of business - if I had to decide it now then I would go probably for a Nikon one. Unless you can buy a Minolta scanner for a reasonable price.

thanks for your answers. Minolta seems to have a good reputation. It's a pity they no longer exists. Do you think it's wise to buy a secondhand one, or would it be too risky, it is a lot of money anyway. thanks. inn
