Also from IMDb...
"Plot Summary for Adaptation. (2002) An account of screenwriter Charlie Kaufman's (Cage) attempt to adapt Susan Orlean's (Streep) non-fiction book The Orchid Thief, which is the story of John Laroche (Cooper), a plant dealer who clones rare orchids then sells them to collectors. We see the action of the book as we see Kaufman struggle to adapt it into a movie. This is presumably a somewhat true story, as Charlie Kaufman is the real life screenwriter of Adaptation." I can only conclude with the following quote... "Adaptation" is certainly not for everyone. If you're looking for something starkly different and simmering with originality, give this film a try, though. ...just like with photographs some times, you have to give them a try... :-) |

Ahhhhh, the penny droppeth, I thought you meant the film adaptation, not the film, 'Adaptation', must pay attention to capitals!
I looked up Wild Orchid, this is an erotic film with Micky Rourke and Jacqueline Bisset, whose synopsis is: Plot Outline: A woman lawyer becomes mesmerized by a self-made millionaire during an encounter in Rio setting off a series of erotic encounters. You've just gotta laugh at that one, I thought you were directing me to watch a pornographic film! |
