Great jmaddocks 2005-10-10 19:57

Hi Alicia:
A very interesting slice of life in Toronto's Chinatown. I'm surprised you had to scour the streets for a toothbrush though, with all those knick knack shops, I would think they had them everywhere.
While in highschool in Beamsville, Ontario, I had a number of good friends from Hong Kong, and we would occasionally go to Chinatown for DimSum or supper. In the 25 years since I graduated, I have continued to go back for a good meal there whenever I have visited home.
I like the composition and the expression of the tired man. I would have cropped out the woman on the left, but that is just my preference. Thanks very much for sharing this!

Default To jmaddocks: Thanks

I guess scour was the wrong word to use. I guess it just felt that way. I did find a toothbrush at one of those knick knack stores, but I had to look around for awhile since I was not familiar with the area. In New York, Duane Reade has taken over on nearly every corner.
