Great Helisa 2010-05-03 5:58

Hi Jamie,

The lightnings are fantastic, photo and atmosphere as well.I really like this one, but I've got a question to ask... From details above I can see that you had it exposed for 26 seconds what these burnt lights in the foreground explain, but how come during such a long time the light of the lighthouse itself hadn't moved at all (at least it seems like it) when usually they go round and round all the time and also quite quickly, what probably would result in flooding your sensor with light every few seconds..what's the secret? have you asked the man to hold it for you? ;)
regards

Default To Helisa: Lightning and lighthouse

Hi there!

I haven't been on here for a long time which is why i haven't replied until now!

The reason the lighthouse didn't have any effect on the lense is that i was on the landward side of the lighthouse where there is no glass, instead there is just metal, so the beam never actually reached me.

I hope that answers your question
