I have to tell you 2 things - 1st I'm not a photographer but your photo is fantastic and 2nd I just joined TrekEarth because of your photo!!
I can't speak to the technique because I don't have the knowledge and that really isn't why I like it! It evokes romantic poetry and such emotion!!! I also think that a lot of people who have never been to Maine (I'm fortunate to have spent some time there) will look at your photo and feel that it truly represents what they always imagined the coast of Maine to be like. Kudos to you for a beautiful shot. Just georgeous!!!!

Lee, thanks for the comment. That's a great compliment. I'm new to Trek Earth too. I'm not a photographer; I'm just fortunate enough to be able to get out an enjoy the Maine coast once and a while.
I have a not-so-high-tech camera, which is fine for landscape photos. I don't know what kind of equipment you have but I recommend you get out there and and take some shots! Welcome to Trek Earth! Devin
