Ciao dear Bill,
I am Paolo (not Giorgio) :-) the friend of Santo that lives to Treviso, where he was born and from where he has departed when he was only 9 years old to go to Australia. The world is really small. Casually commenting one photo of his, we have discovered that we have the same origins, even if we live in the other side of the world. We have immediately done friends, and when one year ago we met there in Italy it has been as to meet a brother. I believe that in TE the thing most important are not the photos but the friendship that it ties us. I have read in yours notes that this is the last photo in TE. I have also thought, so many times, to stop, but the feeling of the friendship has won my decision. I hope that you consider this feeling, the photos have little importance. Anyway, I respect your decision. I have promised to Santo that I will come in Australia, now I don't know when, but surely I will come. I hope to still see your beautiful photos in TE, but if it won't be so, I hope to know you in Australia. Thanks, dear friend, for the pleasant portrait of Santo and for the beautiful words that you have written in the notes.

Sorry of my mistake, it is Paolo [not Giorgio] who helped showing Santo around Treviso and places when he was in Italy. I must thank you for the correction. Yes, when we were in our photography shooting, Santo mentioned that if I could post some photos of Australia so that Paolo can see them and impress Paolo to visit Australia. I decided to show this one out of 1000 photos. You know why.
I saw Santo's first photo on TE and critiqued him, gave him a workshop. :) I was new and starting photography too, but we quickly developed a strong friendship, like you and I promised him I would visit Australia. And I did. And I am asked to make you go. We had pizzas, wine and gelato. Paolo if you can make a trip in March2010, you will see Borneo 1st and then fly from Kuala Lumpur to Australia with a friend called Santo. How is that sound to you? If you are only facebook, you will see more of my Australian photos. Ciao and Grazie
