Bonsoir Denis,
A fascinating composition; the detail of this toxic flower is stunning. Then the cloud-like background is actually a a carcinogen, asbestos. I was surprised to see chrysotile just out in the open, isn't it dangerous to be around? I didn't know what is was but I found it in Wikipedia.

Hi Pat!
Thanks for your visit. There is not danger to be around these dumps. I have ridden my dirtbike on that since 1987 and Ihave played on them when I was a kid and I'm still alive and in a good health. My father used to work on these mines from 1934 to 1979. He was 85 when he passed away and the cause of death wasn't related with asbestos. Many products on the earth, if they are badly use, they will cause damage. When they are correctly use, it is helpful for human. I believe we can apply the same rule for chrysotile. I wonder why so many people are so afraid about that product. They smoke a cigarette pack a day, eat fast food all week long and what else and they don't care about their health. They don't panic for what they should and they panic about things they don't have a deep knowledge. Best regards Denis! |
