I open the photo in photoshop (I know little things about this software)
image--> image size the window says(example): Pixel dimensions: 17,2M Width 3008 pixels Height 2000 pixels Document size Width 25,47 cm Height 16,93 cm Resolution 300 pixels/inch When I change the pixels width from 3008 to, lets say 790 all the other variables change relatively. At the beginning of my postings (i have only posted 14 photos) everything seem to be ok with this 'technique'. Now I have to lower the pixels of the width to 540-500 in order for the photo to be uploaded, but then the actual size of the photo is very small (see in my gallery (~two boats~ and wind energy). Can anyone help with this? Thanks in advance |

hi Shama
Which version of photoshop do you use? Instead of the image/image size, try this -File/Save for Web -choose 800pixel max long side -choose max 300kb size and let the % change to 100% or less depending on pixels of photo -save to your folder regards, bill |

Hey Bill,
The version is Adobe photoshop 7.0 I tried what you suggested: There is a subtab in this window which is called Image size (there i can change the pixels size) But from where i choose this 300kb size? Thanks Shama |

Shama,
After resizing to 800px, you "Save As" in JPG format, at this point PS7 will ask you for the resolution, where 12 is maximal, and at the same time will indicate the estimated file size (this vary according to the amount of information in your photo, so maybe your latest photo has a lot of details). So, move the pointer to a lower resolution until the file size is less than 300kb. Then save. Did it work? cheers Jorge |

more details:
after resizing, please sharpen the photo, then save as, the PS will ask for the new file name, enter the name, then PS will ask for JPEG options, where you will see Image Option, Quality... there change the level from 12 to 11, or until the File Size, shown at teh bottom of the window is less than 300kb. It must work. Let me know. cheers Jorge |

Use this sample code:
This is a link to TrekLens between " and ", put the URL you want to link, and between > and </a>, type 'there'. Just as simple... But this code doesn't open to a new window. Hope this help |
