To RGatward: Kashgar Animal Market
Anyone can just turn up there, it's a few kilometres out of town on a Sunday. There were several tourists there (including myself), but the locals seem to carry on regardless.

Phones in HK
Yes, a lot of mainlanders buy phones in HK as they are cheaper... U have to be careful which one you buy though as some HK models can't send text in simplified Chinese.

Sandals are sexy. But they are also sensible compared to some of the other stuff I have seen. After a real wedding I saw a bride having her photo taken in her wedding dress... she happened to left up...

Yes, I know about the exaggeration of all the bad news from the Philippines in the media - I'm half-Filipino (although born in Australia). I've been to the Philippines about 16 times and have a good...

Re: Preferred ISO400 colour film?
No comments about the colour film: however on the B&W front, try out Kodak T400CN, which like XP2 is a C41 developing black and white film. As painfull as it is to ever consider a Kodak film better...

To merpb: Thanks, lenses and photo oportunities.
Thanks for the the comments. I'm suprised how useful the 50mm lens is - I originally got it for low light, but I've found if you just leave it on, good photos like this one just seem to find you.
