The scene at that Chapel was really sobering. They have an hour by hour time line of events from September 11 out front of the Chapel. I was reading it and then stopped for a moment to look down the...

Thanks for your comments. I like the detail of the wood as well but I am really beginning to feel the limitations of my camera in its ability to capture fine detail.

Re: Thanks for the workshop

I see what you were getting at. The lines in the background are interesting. Geometric shapes in contrast the organic shapes of the trees.

I found this piece of graffiti on the side of a building but it really lacked compositional interest. I will see if I can shoot it again and see if I can include some of the surrounding area. Thanks...

I just realize you were asking if that lone person was Brady. I think Brady was of to the left of me in this shot.

This is one of my favorite shots that I took during the fog. For some reason I never posted it. To answer your question I am not Brady but a friend of his. We actually went out and took pictures...

Stephen,

I think I like both for different reasons. I really like the original because of all the color changes in the bricks, pipes, and graffiti. I like your B&W because it seems to age it as...

Re: To pwelliott: the 350D

This site is extremely helpful. I think you have me convinced on the 350D as a result of the information posted there.

Thanks again,

I think your right that a lower angle with the sidewalk centered more would have made this shot even better. I will pay more attention to the angle of my future photos.

I agree with you on the...

I will try and do a workshop on the guy and see if I can't bring him out a bit. I had not really taken notice of that before so I appreciate your comments.

It is good to see your critiques again...

Re: To pwelliott: the 350D

I appreciate you taking the time to give me your opinion. I think I am juggling between the 20D and the 350D. I don't know I still have to save my money. Thanks again you were very helpful.

I actually didn't use neat image. I converted the image to b&W in the channels and blew out the red and green channels and completely eliminated the blue channel. This is why the sky is so contrasted...

Adam,

What is the advantage of Rawshooter over Photoshop? Can't you adjust the Sat, contrast and curve there as well? Sorry, I am very new so I don't know much about digital photography software...

I really lucked out with those bikers. I was actually taking a shot of just Fry St. and these girls walked out of the tattoo shop and almost posed for me.

I appreciate your comments,
