To Csilla: Hi Csilla

thanks for your nice words. It's a pitty I was't allowed to upload the picture bigger, because it would make a great difference.

Thanks for your message,

I am also living in stormy Germany right now, although "Kirsten" didn't touch us so badly, here in Wiesbaden.

To DzULA: hmmm..

then you maybe do not know that Akropolis is the name of the rock and all the buildings. You most probably are talking about Parthenon, which is a monument on the Akropolis, but not Akropolis itself!...

Re: To nst: rush hour

Oh, then I definately know it, as I have already photographed it here
http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Denmark/photo241529.htm

Never thought of it in winter riding to be honest...

To dorte_s_t: hello

Thank you, Dorte, for your nice comments.
I must confess that I am not a daily visitor at TE, whenever I have a new photo to submit though, it's always one click away.
Best regards
Anastassios.

To bieszczad: It is an antenna

On top of a building you can see a TV-antenna, as I already replied to Serendipity. Thanks for your nice comments.

To Serendipity: Hi,

I do not agree with you. Without that little antenna at the bottom, the whole picture would seem like an artificial digital painting, where a skillful graphic designer applied some filters. It was...

To Photobones: That's funny...

When I was editing the original shot, I arrived into a similar result, as the one you propose. I think I used a similar technique, although I am not sure anymore. I kept that version and I will...

To thor68: Hi Thorsten,

I was lucky to be there with a kφlsch friend of mine, who had the idea to enjoy the view from over that modern tower, instead of "climbing" all the way up inside the Dom. Of course, I took some more...

To jaywalker: Hello Wilson,

thank you for the nice things you wrote. That tower in Cologne is a good chance to take photos of panoramic view.
Have a nice day.

To dorte_s_t: I agree.

To be honest, after I uploaded the picture I thought that a bit of cutting out the sky wouldn't be bad at all. There is maybe too much "white" on top of the picture.
But I surely don't like...

To dorte_s_t: Thank you, Dorte

for your nice words about the picture. I like it too, as I liked Εrhus and I enjoyed that single day, under a phantastic, absolutely clear, blue sky.

Re: Do digital cameras lose in quality with the time?

My feeling that the Camera does not produce quality photos as it used to do, when there is not a lot of light, has been stronger. I took a picture at home using AUTO and flash. I took several...

Re: Do digital cameras lose in quality with the time?

What I mean is that I (at least have the feeling that) am seeing more the pixels of the picture, like it would have been the result of a shot taken from a camera with less Megapixel.
That answer by...

Re: Do digital cameras lose in quality with the time?

I checked this
http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/digital-camera.htm/printable
and I was wondering about the sensor. As I understand it the sensor is not a pure digital instrument. Like hard...

Do digital cameras lose in quality with the time?

I have the feeling that after having taken some thousands of pictures with my digital camera, the pictures it takes now are not so brilliant any more. Are there any mechanical parts getting "tired"...

To Jeppe: Thanks, Jeppe,

I wasn't even aware that there is a small island in between Sjζlland and Fyn. I already looked at your version, which represents the whole picture and read your detailed historical description (I...

IMHO

I tried six different versions before I uploaded the one I decided to TE. One of them was similar to yours, but I found that too much colour gives a not so natural result, especially if you look at...

Cropping

Interesting adaption. I would have cropped it at the bottom and not at the top, in order to keep the smoke and the impression of pollution, which is the main subject here, as I think.

To yesterday: Thank you, Kaj

i'm glad that you like it. It's a nice building, anyway. It' s true, I tried to work with contrast in order to brighten the picture, but not too much, that would destroy the view of the sky (more...

I read in a comment for another picture that you work in Odense, therefore I am twice glad that you like the picture. Although it was a rainy day, we liked our excursion very much and also liked this...
