Gladys,
I think that you might be right about that border. I like putting something on the photos that I post, but was realizing that I always did much the same thing. I was trying to be bold and...

To anupam06: Roof of Quito

Anupam,
I like the subtle changes that you have made. It has also been suggested that it might be better in black and white as well. I am going to play with this more. The truth is that the disc...

To jmdias: Mud and Stick house

Jorge,

To batalay: PICMET 12 Conference

Bulent,
I downloaded your talk, and now I am holding you personally responsible for the fact that tonight I did not do the laundry or the dishes. I was however most inspired and that is far more...

To holmertz: Walking to School

Gert,
I always appreciate getting suggestions. After all that is how we grow. My thought was that the mirror added some depth, but I am now rethinking that. I may post a mirror-less one at a...

To rbellemare: Walking to School

Rιjean,
I really appreciate the workshop and you were not the only one who was not a fan of the mirror. My thought was that it added more depth, but I am now rethinking that. I do like it when TE...

To holmertz: Mud House

I almost made it to Suriname but was stopped at the border for lack of a proper visa which Canadians require. I doubt that I will make it for another attempt but would have loved the adventure....

Talking To holmertz: Elephants at Waterhole

Gert,
The reason that the light was difficult is that it was getting late. I had spent the entire afternoon trying to arrange those guys and pleading with them to stand still. They just don't...

I am very much an amateur at all of this and am always grateful for suggestions. I will force myself to get off of auto this weekend and try some manual.

To chrisvek: Athens police

I had a superb time in Greece. Most of my time was spent on the islands. When I did happen upon the disruption in Athens I was inconvenienced but never felt unsafe.

I like what you did in the WS. It gives a bit more clarity in the foreground while maintaining the light on the upper portion. Thanks, Kevin

Gaia,
I do appreciate your suggestion of adding more sky. I am going to head back to the uncropped photo to see if it contains more sky that can be saved. Thanks much.

To rbellemare: Willemstad

Rejean,
I like what you have done. It still haves enough water to show the reflections but makes the buildings more of the focus. Thanks, I will consider reposting this at a later date.

John,
Women are allowed in math and science classes, but that does not always mean that they are welcome. The college enrollment is largely male, but it is there for both genders.
