I like both shots and I prefer this one because of the human ingredient. Nice pattern. The crop is as you wrote a bit on the tight side, but I forgive you because these situations are very hard to get right without cropping.

very nice portrait, classical composition, good technique. interesting effect of keeping it dark, but somehow I am tempted to brighten it a bit. very good stuff
