Indeed, Githeio is one of the most picturesque villages in Greece. It reminds me of Chalki in the Dodecanese.

Some beautiful elements you have here Chrisanthos: the barren tree on the left, the fog hovering over the well-hidden monastery. I especially like the framing which brings out the color of the monastery..

Unlike the other houses in Plaka which are welcoming, this one has boards nailed on the door and a tree obstructing most of its front!
Nevertheless, it's a beautiful scene!

I have taken a theology course some time ago and the dervish whirling remained in my memory as something so arcane and symbolic only someone like the people you have captured can fully understand.

Lovely elements in this picture.
Especially the half open door.
In most Greek regions, to go from one place to another, one must pass through "private" property which does not seem to bother the landowners. Public and private are so enmeshed they do not realize the difference.

I've seen this sight before when it rains heavily. Eventually mud mixes with water. Really good composition!
