Hi Michael, I've just discovered your gallery, the photos there are truly impressive and this one is no exception. I guess that medium-format played its significant role in providing such vibrant colors and smooth semitone transitions. Your choice of such a slow shutter speed made the water, and perhaps even the whole photo, look a bit like a CG scene, but I like the effect. This is a wonderful photo, and it's a pity we can't view it at 100%, although even such a small crop creates really positive feelings. Regards, Anton

Hi Julian, I certainly can understand your choice about the polarizer, because the water surface looks magnificent! What I like, too, is that one can still see the bottom through the water, so the degree of reflections is perfect. Nice natural colors and just great that you had a tripod with you :) Regards, Anton

Hi Daniele, these colorful traces attract one's eye and create such a nice scene! Your choice of the shutter speed also made the jets look very sharp. I also like the U-shape of the curve in the air, somehow the scene looks much more attractive because of that compared to when it would have been just flat. Nice photo! Anton

Hi Bernd, you surely had the camera with you at the right moment :) The light is fantastic, and your position as a photographer was set optimally so that you managed to avoid the direct sun light, although you captured successfully these nice sun beams. The colors also look very natural, and your photo produces a great overall effect! Well done! Anton

Hi Andreas, it is surely a great place that you have presented here. I like your exposure management of the scene, the final result looks very-very natural. Your composition is also very nice, I would especially point out the mountains as natural framing and stones in the left-lower that perhaps add some extra natural heterogeneity to the scene. The calm water adds even more light, so the photo is very pleasing to view. Thanks for showing such great places here on TE! Anton

Hi Diane, this photo looks more like a painting. In fact, my first wish was to inverse your work to get a more "real" look, so I was not surprised to find your WS version. I would have changed, perhaps, the main and the WS version, because to me the second one looks even more impressive - a painting under water... The colors here are wonderful, immediately they make me think about a water-color painting. Needless to say that you picked up the perfect position to take this shot. Although the idea is not new, you managed to produce a really fantastic photo! Regards, Anton

Hi Lee, I think your note deserves perhaps even more attention than the photo itself, although the latter is very nice in my opinion. It may be a bit blurry for my taste, but the other hand the proposed color balance, ambient light and the dynamics are excellent. These kids still have a couple of years of free life when they can enjoy playing in the yard, because it's pretty hard to do so in future from 1 am to 6 am :) Nicely done and very good, thoughtful note! Hi Karolina, I am impressed with your choice of color cross-processing and composition. Both elements seem to be very important, and yet only one would not produce such a nice result. I also like your choice of framing, it is totally in line with the mood of the photo. I would only perhaps try to avoid the black element at the upper-right corner of the photo, but at the same time it seems that you would have to sacrifice the optimally set composition, i.e. part of the stairs would be lost. Anyway, this element does not distract one's view, perhaps due to the overall mild color balance. Excellent photo! Anton

Hi Eugen, once I had a similar situation in terms of reflections on the road, and I made the same choice as you - I took the shot :) I like your color PP and the effect of exposure gradual transition in the upper part of the frame. Very interesting photo! Regards, Anton
