hi craig, abstract architectural photos have always been a passion of mine, and this shot clearly shows what abstracting is all about :) the lines are mesmerizing, almost hypnotic - I like the dark-to-light gradient guiding the eye from left to right, but most of all I love the sinuous curves that turn a concrete structure into something almost organic. Great shot! c.

hi Gyur, I can see you use Silver Efex as well to post-process your images - I can only say that so far this is the only plug-in that gives me the range of b/w tones I really like. I love the rich contrast of this night photo and the vertical composition that is reinforced by the towering building in the back. The alternating black and white areas really make it a balanced image. Have a good weekend, c.

what? Granada? I thought it never rained in Andalucia! :) I am just reading a novel set in Granada in 1492, at the end of the Moorish domination - well, I read many similar novels and each time it's like I am back there, amazed by the sound of water in the gardens, the smell of jasmine, under the sun, up and down the Albaicin... anyway - I like very much the calm play of the various patterns - the stripes of the umbrella, the chequered floor, the lacy stockings. this is one of those pictures where we can read something into a moment captured by the camera - a happy coincidence that you were quick to capture with your camera :) c.

well, I have long given up on staying young (can't defy gravity...), beautiful, well - no beauty salon can give you that, no matter how hard they try... I am already content if I manage to stay healthy, ahahaha :) anyway - I find the strong alternation of light and darkness in this picture very attractive, like a box in a box in another box... it's always very satisfying to look at photos where you can see that the author has given the composition the attention it deserves. c.

Grazie! c.

you never need a special reason to add sepia toning - it's like sprinkling chopped herbs on a dish: it enhances the flavours :) the Quadrophenia-ish wall-art and the bicycle speak of two worlds, I like the contrast and obviously the b/w is the best choice for this kind of image. In my opinion, of course :) c.

China..??? you get around... :) I like very much the tilt, compositionally and metaphorically speaking ;) great play with reflections and lines, the man in uniform, with his head hanging, is a solitary figure in this hypermodern, empty place that evokes feelings of isolation and indifference. or so it seems. the power of images :) hugs! c.

I really like this photo, it has something old-fashioned, the softness reminds me of how film used to look like, where the moment was more important than sharpness and pixels... the line in the middle almost put me off, for a moment I thought the little girl was part of the mural... :) hugs, c.

:) Buon fine settimana! c.
