You've captured an extraordinary moment of that golden light that floods everything with magic. The exposure you used makes the traffic seem ethereal and gives a curious touch to the theme of "rush hour". Beautiful! Lynn

Aw heck, I thought I'd given you my last comment, but then I saw this superb click and I have to say, again, well done! You have a quick eye for what will make a successful shot, and here again the light, the color (love the touch of turquoise in the center pool!), the movement of the water, the forms of the rocks, the shadow in the background which is rendered supportive and not hostile by the swathe of light midground. The texture, the feel of the water in the foreground is so real, so...WET and cold and transparent that it makes me thirsty, besides giving an impression of purity. Really, really nice. Bravo! Lynn

There, you see? While this photograph is of your usual excellence, I prefer, personally speaking, the other shot of the same subject, but with the vertical composition. Perhaps they were even taken only minutes apart, but that magic light has gone, and the vertical photo has that counterbalancing touch of green at the bottom that this doesn't have. (Then again, you could be justified in saying, "Yes, and this one has a counterbalancing touch of BLUE at the bottom" :-))) Lynn

Have you got a covenant with the sky or something---that whenever you come round with your camera it puts forth its magic? Lynn

Ye Gods what a wonderful photo!!!!!!!! I'm no expert on photography, but I can say that from an artistic point of view it's perfect----PERFECT, I say!! From the composition to the fantastic use of reflection to the transparency of the water in the foreground to the extraordinary light effect that you catured so ably to the vibrancy of the colors illuminated by that magic light to the dynamic sky to those perfect brushstrokes of blushing pink in the heavens! WOW!! Lynn

Well, there is certainly little more you could have done to take our breath away with this fine play of shadow and light; of the majestic, lofty sweep of the land contrasted with the insignificant trappings of civilization and even of those magnificent trees which, set against the dramatic rise above them, find themselves cowed into silence. Great! Lynn

This is a singular photograph, not only for the mood it creates, the happy composition you've achieved, and the color scheme that supports the mood, but also for a certain evocativeness that it provokes. That boat seems to mean something important. You've done an exceptional job here. The colors are also particular in that, while normally such a limited palette of hues would be sure to create monotony, here the opposite happens; I get rather a feeling of something adventurous needing to be done, of some pleasant yet challenging occasion in the offing...well done! Lynn
