Hello, Chris-- i like the idea here, but i feel like the composition would be a little bit more effective for me from a few steps to the right so that the foreground boulder would better relate to the background spur... and maybe be a little bit farther left in the frame. As it is now, i feel like there's too much dead space at the left side of the frame, which is where everything in the composition leads. Thanks! sam

Hello, Maciej-- Great shot... such a bizarre composition, nothing seems quite natural here. Cropped heads, the boy that seems larger than life, and a disembodied smoking head all squeezed into one frame. What brings everything together, though, is the timing--the outstretched arm of the man in the white shirt filly out the space in the left half of the frame, tying the boy to the men. Thanks! sam

Hello, Kristine-- 1/10 of a second at 56mm? i might have to borrow your hands sometime. This is very nice, freezing just a little bit of the action in the foreground near the vendor, but also keeping the blur that gives this picture its active, dynamic feel. It really reminds me of my time in Peru... it's an atmosphere that i miss. Thanks! sam

Hello, Caleb-- Nice work here, the composition is very thoughtful, really capped off by the background lady. The exposure is very nice, keeping great detail in the man without blowing out the background. Was the light similar in both rooms? What was the source? The colors are very rich, also. Thanks! sam

Hello, Daniel-- Great work here, matching the receding, atmospheric mountains with such an iconic symbol of the area. i like your exposure, holding detail in the receding cliffs and the silhouette without blowing out too much of the sky. Thanks! sam

Hello, Lunar-- Great work here, a very delicate exposure, holding in detail in the figure without losing all of the background detail, a nice composition with layers of birds, people, and buildings that fill out the frame well. It is also very well-timed, catching the figure in a dramatic position. Thanks! sam

Hello, Hugh-- Great work here, the symmetry of the moment is nice--both doors at once. The motion blur keeps it dynamic, and the composition is effective, emphasizing the hands. Have you tried this in Black and White? Thanks! sam

Hello, Sothy-- it's nice, particularly tonally, with the subtle warms of the pink rain poncho against the cool blues and neutrals of the atmosphere behind her. i just wish that you had included her feet in the frame, as well. Thanks! sam

Hello, Caleb-- Very nice work here--You balanced the different strips of color well, the shutter speed is nice to keep the boy reasonably sharp, but with just enough motion blur to keep the image dynamic. Your timing was good to keep the boy's head from blocking any of the characters--which, even though few of us can understand them, shows that they are significant and not just an afterthought. Thanks! sam
