Photographer's Note

Just a painter captured in one of the must beautiful square of Udine, Piazza Matteotti.

In the Workshop another view of the square.

The square is still called by Udine people with the old name, Piazza San Giacomo; it's the oldest square of the city, and from the XI century was knew with the latin name of Forum Novum, then it was knew as Justice Field, cause it was the location of the death executions.
In the 1486 was rebuilt by Tommaso Lippomano, the venexian lieutenant of the city.

It was the location of the corn market for centuries (the latin name - Forum Novum, means New Market), then in the 1869 it became the location of the vegetables and fruits market.

The picture was took few minutes after the end of the market.
