After a long break from travel, I flew to Thailand for two weeks in January 2005. I spent time in Bangkok, as well as Trat and Koh Kood along the coast. My trip then took me unexpectedly overland to Cambodia. I traveled by bus, taxi, car, riverboat, moped, tuk-tuk and foot from Chanthanburi to the Prum border, to Pailin, Batthambang, and finally Siem Reap (Angkor). This was my least planned out trip ever, but turned out to be one of the most wonderful and rewarding. The people in Thailand and Cambodia are very special, and as usual it is the portraits from my travels that I prize most. (3 photos)

A week ago we comeback from 10 days Thailand trip -- it's a really Amazing Country. Lot's of gorgeous temples, pretty views and friendly people.
We have visited Bangkok, Phitsanulok, Lampang, Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai. Buddhist temples and monasteries, monkey city, elephant camp, hilltribes..
The only regret I have -- due to the season there wasn't a single day with the blue sky --high humidity and smoke created some kind of grayish overcast.. all 10 days. (11 photos)

I took this trip while living in Japan for 3 years on the JET program. Spent most of the time around Bangkok and Phuket. Also took a day trip to Ayutthaya which was incredible. I enjoyed visiting all the Wat temples and the floating river market in Bangkok. (4 photos)
