The Pilgrims, Page Two: Hierarchy

The night 24/25 June is a special time for the monastery in Jableczna and numerous believers called Eastern Orthodox Christians... They come from all parts of the country, mostly from the very east, as well as from Belarus and Ukraine...
During the night they participate in the procession... Let's join them in this ceremony...

Procession is a complicated hierarchy system originating in Roman empire times: the head of the procession is composed of "praetorians" holding various banners and flags - common believers carefully selected... Front-priests follow, then bishops, followed by archbishops, and the procession is closed by the head of the church in the country...
