Photographer's Note

hello there, zdrasti:)
this is the "diavolski most" (devil's bridge) in a freezing December early afternoon, far away 7 Km from the town of Ardino, in the west part of the East Rhodopes. I'm not sure, the bridge was built from 5 to 6 centuries ago.

----
just a little bit more, from the web:
The region of Ardino is rich in historical monuments and places. The ancient road passing along the river of Arda and through the Ksantiyiski pass (Eledje) was used during the Middle Ages and connected the interior of the Thrace with Aegean region.

added on 10-January:
this is addressed to ABACA, but I would like everybody to see it:

regarding the name of this bridge.. well, it would appear many bridges throughout Europe have the same name. I like this name very much! normally bridges connect two places, they make it easier the communication between people and different cultures. they are like doors through which people can get to know each other and enstablish relations of trade, friendship, etc.
But have you noted that bridges and doors are the most common symbols used with the euro banknotes?? At this point I'm asking myself why they haven't named the european currency "devil" in order to keep consistent with the name given to so many bridges throughout Europe... please see how many they are: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devil's_Bridge !!
