Photographer's Note

The gothic cathedrale of Lausanne was build from 1170 to 1235 on the highest hill of Lausanne. It is devoted on October 20, 1275 by the pope Gregoire X in the presence of the emperor Rodolphe de Habsbourg.
The town of Lausanne always maintains a service of guet announcing the hours, to shouted, 10 p.m. to 2 hours of the morning since the top of the tower. The guet had the role at the time of preventing any beginning of fire.
