Photographer's Note

Hello friends and colleagues, today I offer this beautiful view of the Sierra de Tejeda at dawn, taken from the terrace of the apartment where I was staying in the beautiful village of Frigiliana. I hope you like, to contunuacin some letters on the Sierra.

The Sierra de Tejeda is one belonging to the Penibtica mountain range that straddles the province of Malaga and of Granada (Spain) mountain formation. Along with the mountains of Almijara and Alhama it is a limestone mazcizo makes physical border between the two provinces, separating the Axarqua depression of Granada. In these mountains is the Natural Park Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama.

The Sierra de Tejeda extends west-east direction, through a rugged landscape that has its summit at the peak of La Maroma, 2066 meters above sea level.

Its name comes from the yews were abundant in the past, of which today there is only one tejeda, the southernmost of the Iberian Peninsula. Among the fauna you can see the golden eagle and Bonelli, as well as the ibex, which is in the park one of the largest families in the country.
