Photographer's Note

Hi Everyone,

In spring, the moorlands are usually showing new grasses for the many sheep that rely on them for grazing. This spring, everything is delayed. There is no new grass to be seen! The farmers are estimating that the season is about a month behind where it usually is at this time.

I'm sure, as an optimist, that Nature will have a way of catching up; in the meantime, the sheep are having to be fed by farmers who are really counting the cost of this extended winter.

The records show that this is the second coldest March since records began!

Meteorologists tell us that next week the jet stream will be tracking a little further north, hopefully dragging some warmer air up from the south! Let's hope they are right! I'm ready for a bit of warmth!

Have a great w/e,
Bev :-)
