Photographer's Note
LEAF festival is held twice a year in Black Mtn, North Carolina ~ one of my favorite opportunities for good food, music from around the world, and, of course, people watching. Many come dressed up, many bring musical instruments ~ and you can hear music wherever you wander. It's all for a good cause, art and music for children in schools.

Hello Kristin.
Beautiful street scene capturing this lady candidly during this festival. Nice details with pleasing expression on her face. Beautiful moment with the watching man behind her in balanced tight framing.

Good photograph/ note combi. Is it a hippy kind of festival? She doesn't look American but more European.

Hello Kristin
I like this shot. It has three faces/masks and as we move from the small one in the FG to the woman to the large one behind here it creates a sense of depth. But at the same time the perspective feels compressed. I like the way you have framed this too with a nice tight square crop. Interesting detail of the sunny face on the woman's skirt too emphasising the theme of faces again.
All these masks, so many selves to choose from and adopt, to perform our roles, depending on context - the dramaturgy of everyday life symbolised well here.
