"The city was once heavily fortified Preuilly, closed by thick walls and defended by deep moats, many parts of the city still retain the name. She also had several doors, including a draw bridge. We already know that Preuilly had the title of the first barony of Touraine and five castellanies and over 100 fiefs fell in, "wrote Charles C. and Audig Moisant in their book that was published in 1846. A past as glorious as this one should remain in the memory of the inhabitants of the canton of Preuilly.
