Photographer's Note

This relatively new lighthouse was established in 1836. Between 16th-19th centuries Donaghadee to Portpatrick was the most popular route between Ireland and Scotland (just 21 miles). It was also the first Irish lighthouse to be converted to unwatched electric in 2nd October 1934. If you like lighthouses it is one of the best spots for a photo session, on a sunny day or quiet evening, you won't be disappointed.
