Photographer's Note

This shot is not a prizewinner, but since TE is about learning about different places, I thought I'd share it (actually a horiz. crop of a vertical image). In Derbyshire is Chatsworth (www.chatsworth-house.co.uk), the residence of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. In addition to a grand mansion, there are 1,000 interesting acres of land, complete with gardens, a hedge maze, a playground, etc. One of the most interesting features is the Cascade -- a 208 foot low-rise waterfall that they turn on from around 11:30 to 4:30 (give or take) each day. Visitors are free to walk and play in the water -- something my kids did to full advantage (and to the chagrin of their parents...) This view is from the top, looking down towards the house (upper right in the image). Chatsworth is a lot of fun for all ages and a place to which we'll return.
