Photographer's Note

This is a shot of a part of the Fyris river that runs through central Uppsala. At this specific point there is a small waterfall-like drop in level which creates these three close shifts in the current of the water. The main reason that I took this photo is that it is the first scene in the movie Fanny and Alexander, a semi-autobiographical movie by internationally renowned director Ingemar Bergman. In fact, as a child, he grew up just a few blocks away from this point. So I guess the photo is dedicated to him and his film making.
