Photographer's Note

Here's another one from the hills of Zipaquira taken with my sister's compact camera.

First I headed for the hills in the west. I simply followed the colorful houses as the view got better and better. Eventually a woman told me I shouldn't continue further as it wouldn't be safe. So then I went back to the town center and a church I liked. From there I spotted from distance some beautiful stairs painted in the colors of the Colombian flag! BUT...I didn't bring my DSLR camera to this village, so I couldn't get a good picture from distance. Also the area didn't seem like the safest one, so it could be a risk to go there and get some better pictures up close. So I just walked around in the city center enjoying the sun, but I couldn't completely get those stairs out of my head, so eventually I started walking in that direction trying to follow streets with a lot of people. I'll admit my heart was beating, but I felt safe as long as I didn't walk into any empty streets. Eventually I reached the stairs. One step at a time, they led me to a beautiful view of the town. My next post will show the view towards the city from this same spot.
