Photographer's Note
Valparaiso translates to 'Paradise Valley' and is one of Chile's more popular tourist attractions. 2 hours away from the capital, the small city hosts the national congress building where Salvador Allende was overthrown from government in the 1973 coup. Present day 'Valpo' is far more tranquil however, and its steep streets and colourful buildings are often compared to San Francisco. Here I've captured the town on a foggy day. Graffiti such as that seen on this bridge is ubiquitous in the town, often with strong political sentiments.
