Photographer's Note
Inside the Mineral Water Park of Sγo Lourenηo I found this blue dacnis (Dacnis cayana), which caught the attention for the vibrant colors of its feathers and that, as soon as I took the photo, flew away. It has marked sexual dimorphism: the male is blue and black, with light red legs, while the female is green, with a bluish head and orange legs.

Hello Alexandre,
How very thoughtful of whoever put the banana (or peel) on that branch and managed to attract this beautiful light blue bird. The contrast is wonderful, and how lucky you were to be able to take this sharp and well exposed just before it flew away.

Il est tellement beau cet oiseau bleu pβle qu'on dirait qu'il est faux. Mais il semble bien apprιcier le sucre de sa banane. Trθs beau cadrage et superbes couleurs.

I never saw a bird with feathers in that kind of blue.
Amazing! Very nice in combination with some black spots.
A picture of that bird together with a banana provides of course a splendid colour contrast.
Excellently sharp taken. Good blurred background.

Alexandre, a successful nature photo presenting the local avifauna. This little bird draws attention by its splendid turquoise blue/green and black feathers. Good idea to place a banana to attract it closer otherwise it would be difficult to take a picture of it. Good image quality, instructive photo note, regards.

The warm yellow colour of the banana peel clipped to the branch and the bright cyan plumage of the bird have given a superb warm cold color contrast. Good sharpness and timing. I am usually too slow or impatient for such shots. Tfs!

amazing bird! I never seen anything like that before.
The photo description says you have used flash so I am not surprised that it flew away immediately, but the flash helped to emphasize the fluorescent nature of the bird feathers. The color is so bright and vivid.
