Photographer's Note

"Cambau" is the name of the gear used here by this fisherman to catch shrimps in the bay of Guaratuba, Paran, southern Brazil. It is a conical net 2,5m to 3m wide, used to dragging only in the protected shallow waters of the bay.
Behind the fisherman you see a typical summer rain storm, very commom to the afternoon from December to March. Behind the rain are the mountains, here covered by the storm comming. The 300mm perspective shows the rain even closest to the fisherman that it really is, but I think that he got out just after my picture, with or without his shrimps...
