Photographer's Note

Fitz Roy, is one of many mountains everyone wish to see when they come to Patagonia, and not everyone get to see it. It is often time cover in clouds. Even on a nice sunny day. I too wish to see it so desperately. The day we arrived at campsite, it was already late in the afternoon. The sky was gray and thick with heavy clouds, I couldn’t even see across the lake. So the next day morning, despite not being a morning person and one who is not use to the cold weather. I drag myself out of the warm sleeping bag before 6 o’clock, hoping to see Fitz Roy and better yet to see it when the first ray of sun light shining on its peak. It was cloudy with lot of blue sky, so the chance was good. Well I waited and waited, the sun had already risen, but the cloud just wouldn’t clear up from around Fitz Roy. Half an hour after the sunrise perhaps it the heat of the sun or I wished so hard it actually came true, the clouds cleared up. I was so happy, it’s like Fitz Roy himself came out to greet me in the beautiful morning light.
