Photographer's Note
We went on Cook Islands in the mid August 2000, during a Round-the-World travel.
We were really lucky to arrive in that days 'cause it was the week of the Independence, a sort of National Festival with many events, a dance competition with the better groups from all the islands of the Cooks, concerts of local music, a fantastic tournement of rugby, gigantic BBQ on the beach every night and literally...rivers of beer.
The low number of tourists (thanks to the winter season in New Zealand and Australia) gave us the opportunity to be in just few dozens of westerns in the whole Rarotonga.

Interesting result Paolo. You use movement and blur to the best here and (hehe..) maybe even have a little help from the scanner. Anyway fun and well working result.

Ciao Paolo! Your blurred motion of these dancers enhances the whole mystery of the dance itself; love the way the fingers are still well distinguished from the dark ground. The shot is pretty sizzling with an orgy of colours :-)

It seems that the rivers of beer made a great effect here :)) I like the sense of motion, Paolo. In fact, her left side seems focused and from there everything (more her hands, I guess) is moving in slow motion as a drunk would see it :) The colors are appealing and the dancer is well framed and with a pleasant smiling expression. Interesting original post.
