Photographer's Note

Place:
This small (in terms of water falling down in a minute) waterfall has the name of Bridal Veil. And in my opinion it quite deserved that. It looks exactly like one especially if you are using shatter speed more then one and half seconds. That stream of water is falling down from the cliff 53 meters high. The bush which surround waterfall remains almost untouchable. In a first glance that place looks like a crater of dormant volcano, but I am seriously doubt that. Some people might find POV pretty common for that particular waterfall, but in self-defence I might say that it is probably the only dissent point to get a photo of entire subject with les then average level of problems. That shot shows how wrong first impression might be. I mean my previous photo posted on that great website. The river was quite and slows just in few meters from the fall but now look at that!

To get there you have to drive more then an hour to south of Auckland, pass Hamilton and turn to the west. There are quite a few interesting places around there and a day trip wouldn’t be spent for nothing if you decided to go there one day.
