Photographer's Note

the sydney opera house is easily one of australia's most recognisable buildings. tourists flock here by the thousands everyday to look at this building and the surrounding sights, the harbour bridge, circular quay and the domain (big gardens that house the nsw art gallery). this is a pretty stock standard shot, but i like the way it turned out, hence the posting. i wnated the side to be that extra shiny, to show the glowing pride that australians have for their icon..

i did a little cropping to get rid of peripherals, added a touch of saturation, usm and frame..

i also have good memories of this trip, moments before this shot was taken, a seagull stole my girlfriend's hamburger, right out of her hands! don't tell her i told you though ;)
