Photographer's Note

The last in this series from Willandra National Park in western New South Wales.
There were quite a few large claypans like this one scattered about. Thats what the road we got bogged on in my last posting was made from. The shrubs growing in the clay and beyond is Australian saltbush. Both sheep and cattle happily graze on it.
Saltbush also makes for a good herb.
Off to the right of this photo we found a small area with old Aboriginal tools such as stone knives - see the workshop for a photo. If you find such tools in a national park it is illegal to remove them so we just looked and left.
