Photographer's Note

In the gorges around Arkaroola live the yellow-footed rock wallabies. Spend some time in the local gorges and you will probably see one or two of these beautiful animals hopping about the cliff faces. But they are well camouflaged so you need to be quiet and observant.

I took this photo at Arkaroola Waterhole. The wallaby sensed that I was there, and stood still long enough for me to take a few photos. This is a female with a young wallaby in its pouch.
