Photographer's Note

The First Nations in Australia have their own creation stories which are part of what they call Dreamtime., a time when landforms, animals and humans were created by ancestor spirits. it is a rich set of beliefs, which having being followed for 60,000 years or so, has helped maintain societies and environment for countless generations. With the arrival of Europeans that harmony was shattered.
Even though the lake bellow (really a weir which maintains irrigation) is manmade, the early dawn with its mist, soft light and dreamlike mood, somehow conveys a time before the rapine of this continent.

Sincere apologies to the members who had critiqued the previous shot from the same spot and which i have deleted. i wasn't happy with the light and this is a very similar shot but zoomed in a little more and with better atmosphere.
