Hello Marlene

Looks like Redcliffe copped it. I love the reflections of the beachcombers in the sand. Good sharpness & dramatic light contrasts due to the dark bg storm clouds. The shallow wave at left is nice too. Tfs!

Excellent light conditions.
The light is on the tiny people who dominate the photo because of the light and the prominent position in the center of the photo.
The black stip of dark trees on the right gives some balance. The beautiful sky and reflection on the wet beacht do the rest.
Perfect!

Good Morning Marlene,

Well the storm may have affected your outing but what an opportunity for photography! This shot has a freshness all of its own!
I love how the diminishing line of people makes a fantastic guide into the shot. made all the more interesting by the reflections!
The threatening storm clouds are such a strong b/g contrasting strongly with the refecting f/g pool. A really interesting shot.

Sorry for my late reactioon as I was away for several days for business trip. I envy you, as your season is now in summer. This is very comfortable shot, very well taken by best selected deep exposure and shutter speed. Nice wonderful presentation, best match with the last of 2011 indeed.

What a beautiful site with those mirror-like reflections. The colours of the clothes add extra 'punch' to the picture. Interesting weather can make fabulous images as you have shown here.
