Photographer's Note

A scene repeated throughout the Flinders Ranges which is about 450 kilometres north of Adelaide. This is where The Outback begins. The Flinders Ranges region is amongst the oldest geological areas in the world with finds in 1946 of some of the earliest known fossilised creatures.

To me this is an area like no other.

This picture was taken many years ago on Slide film and has faded a little over time. I have scanned it using an Epson Photo RX700. Originally taken on an Olympus OM2 with 50mm Zuiko lens and Hoya polariser. It required some adjustments to Levels to put back a little of the lost vitality.
