Photographer's Note

Well, here is one of the few presentable shots I've had this winter. This is the LDS Temple in Manti, Utah (pronounced Man-tie). There's nothing much out in Manti, other than the temple and nearby Snow College in Ephraim. Nice sleepy town with lots of farmland nearby. Funny story: about 20 minutes before this shot was taken, my wife and I were driving through a small town at dusk when we witnessed a full moon rising over a graveyard with hundreds of bats overhead. Creepy, but rather interesting.

The Manti Temple was finished in 1888, and is one of the more imposing religious structures in Utah, in spite of its remote location. According to Wikipedia, the exterior is cream-colored limestone. Quite a pretty touch. Hope you enjoy it.
