Photographer's Note

Koosah Falls is the largest of 3 major waterfalls on the McKenzie river. It plunges 90 ft. over the cut back lip of an ancient lava flow into a pool below. During the spring the flow covers the entire ledge but by the time fall arrives it has become three distinct falls. Though only a few miles from Clear Lake, the source of the McKenzie, the flow from glacial melt percolating through the porous lava fields has made for an impressive waterfall already.
