Photographer's Note
Rifle Falls State Park in western Colorado, taken on an early spring morning. I thought having this fisherman was perfect, , it also shows the scale of the waterfalls.
Rifle Falls are 3 waterfalls side by side each about 80 feet tall, and due to the constant spraying of water from the 3 falls the area is very green and luch year round, a rare thing for Colorado which is generally a very arid state

Dear Paul, This is a lovely capture. But it would be much better appreciated if you would use the allowed size of 200kB. Currently it is 48 kB, one quarter of the allowed size. It is a great composition and nicely exposed.
Best regards

Hi Paul,
Wonderful capture of this place. Really love how stable the focus on the fisherman seems with the exposure on the falls .. great mood for this place .. very nice .. take care, John

Paul,
There's probably a dozen great compositions you could make from these falls, and you've certainly found one good way to use them yourself.
Two good decisions:-
1. Don't include the top of the falls - a little bit of mystery!
2. Do include a figure - scale, human interaction.
Presentation's a bit on the insignificant side, but it's a good shot.

Hello Paul,
Welcome on TE!
Yes indeed, having this fisherman in your composition is very good. In addition to giving an idea of scale, it also participates to let us imagne the feeling when you enjoy a moment in such a great place.
In order to improve your shot, I think you could add some saturation and contrast, plus a frame (easy to do with photofiltre eg).
Another thing is that your photo is too small. You could try to get as close as possible to 200 ko and to 800 pixels.
Anyway, it is a good composition, and that's the most important.
I hope you will have a lot of fun on this website :-)
Enjoy it!
Regards,
Marianne
